Meg
Darnell, a licensed massage therapist since
1993, studied massage therapy at the Swedish Institute
completing an intensive study of anatomy, physiology,
pathology, Swedish massage, Shiatsu and Chinese
medicine. She completed an extensive workshop in
pregnancy massage in 1994 and has developed and
teaches Prenatal Massage for Partners.
Meg
is the Director of Alumni Services at Swedish
Institute, College of Health Sciences, and is a
teacher in the Professional development department.
She is the co-founder of The Metropolitan Doula
Group, an educational support group for labor support
doulas in the New York Metropolitan area.
Her
independent studies include deep tissue massage,
structural integration, movement analysis and
energetic practices.
Committed
to understanding the nature of body/mind therapies and
holistic medicine, Meg believes that a better feeling
body produces a better feeling mind and therefore a
balance of emotional and physical well being.
